How do I restore my Premium purchase?

Open the Settings tab in the app and tap Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy it. Premium works on all your iPhones and iPads.

Why don't I hear any audio?

Samo Malo speaks Croatian with your device's own Croatian voice, which iOS doesn't install by default. To add it:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Accessibility › Read & Speak
  3. Tap Voices, then Croatian
  4. Download Lana (Enhanced)

Downloading needs a connection once. After that, playback works offline. If you still hear nothing, check that your ringer isn't muted.

Is there an Android version?

Not at this time. Samo Malo is currently available for iPhone and iPad only. If you'd like to see it on Android, let us know at support@dalmatianlabs.com. Hearing from you helps us decide what to build next.

Can I get a refund?

Apple handles purchases and refunds. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Dictionary data

Definitions, translations, parts of speech, genders and pronunciations are derived from English Wiktionary, extracted with Wiktextract by Tatu Ylönen (kaikki.org). © Wiktionary contributors. Licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0 and GFDL 1.1 or later. en.wiktionary.org · kaikki.org

Word frequency

Ranking uses the FrequencyWords lists by Hermit Dave, derived from the OpenSubtitles corpus via OPUS (Lison, Tiedemann & Kouylekov, LREC 2018). Content licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0. github.com/hermitdave/FrequencyWords

The app's dictionary database

Adapted from the sources above and available to anyone under CC BY-SA 4.0: download the dictionary data (version 2.0.0, a SQLite database in a 9 MB zip). A small number of entries for everyday words the sources lack were written by Dalmatian Labs.

Phrases

The phrase list, English translations, literal glosses and word categories are original work. Phonetic respellings are generated from Wiktionary's pronunciation data.

No warranty is given as to the accuracy of this material.

This site is set in Newsreader by Production Type, under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
